The Chesapeake Conservation Landscaping Council will hold its 2017 Turning a New Leaf Conference on Friday, November 3, at the Hilton Washington Dulles in Herndon, Virginia. The conference provides
professionals with the latest information on sustainable landscaping and low impact development best practices. Registration is open now at www.chesapeakelandscape.org/new-leaf/ with discounted early registration until October 15.
This year’s keynote presentation is “The Design and Stewardship of Living Landscapes” by Rick Darke. Attendees choose from among twelve sessions in three tracks, Putting the Practical in Sustainable Landscape Practice; Plants, Wildlife, and Biodiversity: Understanding Pieces of the Puzzle; and Communication: What We Talk About When We Talk About Sustainability. Highlights include an Eco-Marketplace filled with conference sponsors from around the Bay region, networking opportunities, and a book sale. CEUs are available.
Join friends and make new connections at the Welcome Dinner on the evening of November 2, featuring Gem Bingol from the Piedmont Environmental Council, and presentation of the 3rd Marcy Damon Conservation Landscaping Award.
