What this funds: The Prince George’s County Stormwater Stewardship Grant Program funds on-the-ground restoration activities that improve neighborhoods, improve water quality, and engage Prince George’s County residents in the restoration and protection of the local rivers and streams of Prince George’s County.
Who can apply: Non-profit organizations, municipalities, watershed organizations, education institutions, community associations, faith-based organizations, civic groups, and more.
Project types requested: Water quality projects (track 1) for $50,000 to $200,000, tree planting projects (track 2) for $50,000 to $150,000, and citizen awareness and engagement projects (track 3) for $5,000 to $50,000. Proposals that meet or exceed the “Jobs First Act” CB-17-2011 are preferred. See the entire Request for Proposals (RFP) that is online here
Project location: Prince George’s County, Maryland, excluding the City of Bowie. All projects are done in Prince George’s County and support citizens in Prince George’s County.
Available funding: A total of $750,000 for Track 1 (Water Quality) and Track 3 (Citizen Awareness and Engagement) projects; and $250,000 for Track 2 (Tree Planting) projects.

Review process: All applications go through a Technical Review Committee. The technical team reviews the proposals based on cost benefit, experience, suitability for implementation, consistency with the RFP, sustainability, and other selection
