Help us celebrate Riparian Buffers!
The Chesapeake Conservation Landscaping Council (CCLC) is excited to establish October as “Riparian Buffer Month” to celebrate riparian buffers and highlight the benefits they provide in a variety of settings. Using the Riparian Buffer month webpage as a central hub, CCLC will spotlight a riparian buffer project each day in the month of October and highlight them through social media outreach. A field day event or tour of a buffer project site in each of the central Bay states will also be offered in October to provide an opportunity to visit buffered sites. CCLC’s signature program, the Chesapeake Bay Landscape Professional (CBLP), will continue the training of landscape professionals through the new CBLP-Buffers certificate program. CBLP’s October Today’s Menu (a lunch and learn webinar series for certified CBLP professionals) will also focus on riparian buffers.
