Forever Maryland is seeking input to better understand how municipalities and urban communities in Maryland can be improved through increased greenspace and the benefits of greenspace. Generally defined as “an area of grass, trees, or other vegetation set apart for recreational, agricultural, aesthetic, or ecosystem benefit purposes”, “greenspace” can bring about many benefits including: improved mental and physical health, local foods, clean water, increased property values, greater community connectivity, increased biodiversity and more.
We look forward to sharing the results of this survey and continuing to think through how we can improve greenspace within municipalizes and “urban” spaces across the entire state. Thank you all!
