The Montgomery County Government and the Chesapeake Bay Trust (the Trust) announce a grant program to support watershed restoration and outreach projects and programs throughout Montgomery County, funded through the Water Quality Protection Charge (https://www.montgomerycountymd.gov/water/wqpc/) and through Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) State and Tribal Assistance Grants (STAG) funding. This program aims to support projects which will improve the water quality of local streams and waterways, as approved through County Code Chapter 19, Article II, Section 19-29A (https://codelibrary.amlegal.com/codes/montgomerycounty/latest/montgomeryco_md/0-0-0-127635). These projects also aim to increase knowledge and change behaviors that will support the County’s water quality goals.
An information session at which the program will be described and questions from potential applicants will be answered will be held September 13, 2023, from 6:30 pm to 8 pm (EST).
