The Chesapeake Bay Trust and 5 Million Trees for Maryland are excited to announce that the Urban Trees Grant Program is now open!

The Urban Trees Grant Program, called for by the Maryland General Assembly as a component of a 5,000,000-tree goal by 2031, welcomes requests for tree planting projects in urban underserved communities. The goal of the Urban Trees Grant Program is to green communities; enhance quality of life, human health, and community livability by improving air quality, and reducing urban heat island effect; and mitigate some of the effects of climate change.

Register to attend a virtual Information Session on Thursday 1/23/25 from 6-7pm or Friday 2/14/25 from 12-1pm.

Application Deadline: Thursday, March 6, 2025, at 4pm ET.
