Pollinator Gardens

Make your green space a healthy habitat for bees, butterflies, birds, and more. Pollinator gardens are important to our ecosystem, and can help your edible garden flourish. Attendees will learn about plant selection and basic design, and will take home a pollinator-friendly seedling to start their garden.

Project Planning

Interested in starting or expanding a greening project? At this workshop, 2-4, members from of existing or soon-to-be green site will create their project plan with assistance from skilled greeners. Topics covered are critical to implementing a successful project, such as organizing and outreach, goal and objective identification, budgeting and timeline creation, and more. Attendance is required for groups interested in a Start-up Grant but any group beginning or entering a new phase of a project are welcome & encourage to attend.

Spring Plant Giveaway (ticketed event)

Spruce up your community managed open space with plants, trees and garden materials provided by Parks & People Foundation and generous donors. Bring a copy of your site plan or picture of your garden to receive advice from knowledgeable greeners and Master Gardeners on what would be the best fit for your site. Limitations on the amount of materials that may be taken by each site may apply. Timed tickets are required for entry.
