Are you part of a monitoring program or citizen science organization that collects water quality data in Maryland? Would you like your data used in decision making?  Does your organization need additional technical resources and advanced training opportunities?  Would you like to learn about submitting your data to Maryland state agencies and federal agencies?

This FREE workshop is designed to assist NGOs collecting water quality data in Maryland to have their data considered for a variety of regulatory, assessment, modeling, and restoration purposes.  The Maryland Water Monitoring Council has organized presenters from state, federal, and nonprofit organizations that will explain and be available for questions regarding:

  • Collecting data, and how is it used by the agencies
  • Understanding different levels of data quality
  • Determining the basic steps needed for data of known quality
  • Finding technical assistance
  • Integrating your data into agency databases and assessments
  • Maryland’s Integrated Report and TMDLs
  • Maryland Biological Stream Survey and Stream Waders

Food and drink will be provided. Space is limited!

Please note that this workshop will cover the same material as that presented at the workshop held on October 8, 2016 at Arlington Echo.
