The members of the planning team for the Patuxent River Conference are excited to announce that registration is now open for PAXCON 2017 which will take place Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at the Smithsonian Environmental Research Center in Edgewater, MD. The theme of this year’s conference is River Management Stories: Making the leap from information to application. With a schedule that includes in-depth science presentations, panel sessions, and roundtable discussions all framed around one of the main strands- invasive species management, living shorelines, stormwater best management practices and stream restoration the conference committee hopes participants will leave the conference not just with new knowledge about research relevant to the Patuxent River Watershed but also a network of colleagues that are inspired to take action to improve the river.
Register today at http://www.paxcon.org/register.html . Early bird registration of $30 ends November 6th.
