Join our staff and friends as we plant trees, shrubs, and live stake materials along a small headwater stream that leads to the Rappahannock River!
We will be focused on installing live plant material that will help to stabilize banks, prevent erosion, and improve habitat for fish and wildlife.
We have all the materials needed including tools, gloves, waders/rubber boots, water, and snacks.
Several conservation staff will be on the site to provide instruction on planting methods, safety talk, and to answer questions about the project and the larger restoration efforts taking place across the region.
This project requires volunteers to work in and around a stream which has lots of gravel, cobble, boulders, and mud. The stream may have standing pools and flowing water.
All participants must complete and sign a WAIVER. Any participate under 18 must have a waiver signed by a parent or guardian.
