The A-NPDC is seeking a Community Development Coordinator to implement community development projects with an emphasis on economic revitalization, water quality, and coastal resilience. The position will require a motivated and creative thinker who plans and implements a variety of construction and planning initiatives. The successful applicant will need to be passionate about the betterment of the Eastern Shore of Virginia, be capable in project management including experience with overseeing and managing consultant and contractor activities, have a detail-oriented mindset, technological competency, and leadership qualities with excellent communication, writing, public speaking, and organizational skills. The successful applicant is preferred to have a working knowledge of federal, state, and private grant programs; experience with databases, GIS programs, and web-interfaces; and familiarity with coastal and environmental management. A Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or 4 years of relevant experience is required. This is a full-time salaried position with fringe benefits including VRS.
