Join the Frederick City Sustainability Manager as we explore the Municipal Forest of the City of Frederick. The flora, fauna, and natural history of the area will be discussed through the concepts of watershed management, water resources, and protecting the source of drinking water for the residents of Frederick, MD.
Our guide is arborist and tree-devotee, Jenny Willoughby. Jen is a knowledgeable and engaging teacher with extensive knowledge of the region.
Expect to walk about 3 miles on moderate terrain. Please bring your own water bottle, snacks, and bug spray (if needed). Wear layers for warmth as it can get cold in the mountains.
