Dickinson College’s Alliance for Aquatic Resource Monitoring (ALLARM), located in the fantastic small town of Carlisle, Pennsylvania, is hiring a new Community Science Specialist. ALLARM’s Community Science Specialist coordinates ALLARM’s monitoring programs and partnerships and works with volunteers in Pennsylvania and New York who are interested in evaluating watershed health. Responsibilities of the position are to:

  1. Manage ALLARM’s role as a partner of the Environmental Protection Agency-funded Chesapeake Monitoring Cooperative and integrate water quality data into the Chesapeake Data Explorer.
  2. Cultivate and maintain relationships with communities and volunteers participating in volunteer monitoring programs like ALLARM’s Susquehanna Stream Team.
  3. Help to prepare ALLARM students for community training and educational workshops.

Salary: $32,000 – $34,000, with amazing benefits. This position is funded by external grants, current funding in place supports this position through December 2021.
