The Volunteer & Education Coordinator organizes and implements CBMM’s Volunteer Program, serving as the staff liaison for CBMM’s corps of more than 250 active volunteers. CBMM’s volunteers are essential to the success of the institution, contributing an average of 28,000 hours of service a year. As program lead, this person will be responsible for orienting and training new volunteers, and working inter-departmentally to match the work preferences and skills of volunteers with the needs of CBMM departments.
This position also promotes CBMM’s educational mission by organizing the registration, reservation, and scheduling processes for CBMM programming for families, school groups, and lifelong learners.

In order to be successful in this position you must have strong computer skills, experience with volunteer/member management software (preference for those with experience in Altru and Volgistics) and excellent organizational and communication skills.
This full-time role is currently performed remotely and will have partial (30%) remote-work eligibility when business operations return to normal. The anticipated work week is 40 hours with a compensation range of $34,000-$38,000.00 per year. College degree or equivalent experience preferred.
