The Chesapeake Bay Trust (Trust) strives to invest in projects and programs that will most effectively “move the needle” toward the restoration and protection of the Chesapeake Bay watershed and then widely share these results with our stakeholders. Under our values of Science and Innovation and as part of our role to convene where we can identify solutions to critical issues or paths of actions, we invited experts across the nation to participate in the session, “Climate Change and Stormwater: A panel discussion of the latest research and use of that research.” Panelists covered what has worked or not worked for them, their research findings, and where they are headed in the future (view the agenda and recording here). Two of these projects were recently completed and this cutting-edge science can be used to better design stormwater practices for future climate scenarios of more frequent and higher duration storm events. Check out these final reports at: 1) Climate Impacts to Restoration Practices (supported through the Pooled Monitoring Program) and 2) Piloting the Development of Probabilistic Intensity Duration Frequency (IDF) Curves for the Chesapeake Bay Watershed (supported through the US EPA Goal Implementation Team Program).
