PA DCNR seeks nominations for its third annual Watershed Forestry Leadership Award!
The Watershed Forestry Leadership Award celebrates exemplary leaders with significant, positive impacts that bring people together to advance watershed forestry practices in Pennsylvania.
What makes a Watershed Forestry Leader?
Individuals (staff or volunteers) and teams who take a collaborative approach to restore water resources in Pennsylvania and beyond. Their efforts and actions serve as inspiration to others and are effective at building engagement, trust, and partnerships within and across organizations.
Essential qualities of a Watershed Forestry Leader:
– Their work and impact have far-reaching effects at many levels
– Connect ideas, concepts, and people together
– Inspire others to work collaboratively and creatively
– Lead with courage
– An excellent role model
Who’s eligible?
Individual employees, volunteers, and teams working with watershed forestry practices in Pennsylvania. Watershed forestry practices include riparian forest buffers and lawn conversions (turf-to-forest and turf-to-meadow).
