Since 2009, new developments are required to manage their stormwater by using Best Management Practices (BMPs). Property Owners are required to maintain BMPs, and sites are inspected every three years by Anne Arundel County inspectors. WSA partnered with HOA leaders, development professionals, property managers, environmental experts, and Anne Arundel County staff to develop a seminar series – Stormwater Success – to help county residents, property managers and HOA leaders navigate the inspection process.

Do you belong to a community that would like to do a stormwater restoration project or install rain gardens or drywells? This introductory, virtual 2-hour course is designed to give busy HOA leaders and property managers a basic understanding of community stormwater management.

This in-person two-hour course is tailored for leaders and property managers of communities that were built after Maryland’s 2007 Stormwater Act was adopted and have stormwater BMPs associated with ESD, including rain gardens, bio-swales and infiltration areas.
