Looking to Get Your Feet Wet in Environmental Education?

Calvert Nature Society and Calvert County Natural Resource Division have paid internships for college juniors and seniors and recent graduates.

Positions available in Fall 2022

Responsibilities include:

  • Environmental Education: Leading programs for a wide age range
  • Public Programs: Plan and lead public nature interpretation programs, may include: pre-k classes, kayak trips, outreach, scout groups
  • Wildlife monitoring projects
  • Nature center operations including animal care and garden and trail maintenance

Hours: Mostly weekdays, with occasional weekends and overnights

Approximately 25 hours/week for 12 weeks, Stipend of $1,500

Candidates should have knowledge of local natural history and experience working with children

Participants are required to pass a background check
