If you love being outdoors, working with young children, and learning alongside a team of dedicated educators, this is the position for you! At Forest Preschool and Childcare at Carrie Murray Nature Center, we follow a seasonal emergent curriculum, always following the lead of the children in our care. Our classroom is Leakin Park, the largest urban green space east of the Mississippi River, here in Baltimore City! The trails, wetlands, and meadows are the perfect places for students (and teachers!) to develop a connection to the nature found right in their backyards, helping us in raising the next generation of environmental stewards.

The position includes embodying Forest Preschool’s commitment to nature education and requires thoughtful planning for learning experiences (primarily outdoors) to help children feel more confident engaging in the natural world while preparing them with the skills they need to be successful in their future school experiences. The Lead Teacher collaborates with the Forest Preschool team to deliver intentional and responsive care to preschoolers (2-5 years old).
