PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY:
The Conservancy’s funding comes from a mix of federal, state and foundation grants, fee for service agreements and private donor contributions. The compliance and reporting administrator tracks and executes programmatic and financial reporting requirements and compliance actions and ensures completion of deliverables for all funding sources. The administrator assists the director of federal business development in keeping accurate account of what is needed, when, and involving required staff needed for all programmatic and financial reporting requirements, compliance actions and completion of deliverables for all funding sources. The compliance and reporting administrator serves as the key user of all software and web services for all funding sources related to tracking and submitting required programmatic, financial and compliance reports.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Coordination
- Manages documentation and reporting systems to ensure compliance with funder deadlines, programmatic/financial requirements including invoicing and other requirements.
- Assists the director of federal business development with tracking matching funds.
- Provides regular and proactive communication and coordination among Conservancy staff to ensure proactive plans are created to meet agreement requirements and deliverables.
Reporting and Research
- Maintains the Conservancy’s calendar of agreement deadlines, including programmatic, financial and compliance requirements. Creates achievable schedules to ensure on-time submissions of programmatic and financial reports, invoices and compliance requirements.
- Supports the director of federal business development and other Conservancy staff in establishing, cultivating and growing relationships with current and prospective funders.
Writing
- Works collaboratively with Conservancy staff to generate timely, accurate and compelling materials for programmatic and financial report and compliance submissions aligned with funder requirements.
- Submits programmatic, financial and compliance documentation prepared by the director of federal business development following protocols and submission processes established by funders.
Other Duties as Assigned
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:
- At least 3 years of experience leading programmatic, financial and compliance reporting for funding agreements from various sources.
- Expertise with federal and state grant and/or contract management
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work independently
- Excellent organizational skills
- Strong computer skills, particularly working knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion and justice
PREFERRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:
- At least 3 years of experience with the “full-cycle” grant process
- Experience with DonorPerfect CRM
- Broad-based knowledge of the core areas of fundraising utilized by the Conservancy: Annual Fund, major donors, grants (government and private), endowment and capital campaign
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
The salary range for this position is $60,000-$70,000 depending on relevant experience.
