Project Coordinator
Arterra Landscapes is looking for a motivated and organized project coordinator to help manage the construction of projects including rain gardens, bayscaping and hardscaping at residential properties throughout the DC metro area.
This position requires an ambitious candidate with strong communication and interpersonal skills, impeccable attention to detail, and interest in sustainability/landscape design/entrepreneurship.
Sense of humor, organizational skills, and intellectual curiosity are key to success in this role. A candidate who is flexible, thinks strategically and is highly collaborative will thrive in this position. The project coordinator will work closely with other team members, partners, vendors and clients.
Excellent opportunity for a motivated candidate to expand their knowledge and skills in the landscape design/build and the environmental/stormwater field. Position is a great blend of office and field work.
Job Responsibilities
Source high quality materials including trees, shrubs, perennial plants and stone
Communicate with clients via email, phone and in person
Manage production schedule for projects
Coordinate projects with foreman of in house crews and subcontractors
Create social media postings
Assist landscape designer with landscape design of rain gardens, bayscaping, hardscaping, stormwater systems
Field work includes laying out designs on installation days and client meetings
Requirements
2 – 5 Years of professional experience preferred
Excellent written, verbal and graphic communication skills
Strong organizational skills
Attention to detail, sense of humor and positive energy
Reliable transportation, clean driving record
Intellectual curiosity and eagerness to learn

Experience with landscape design, social media, business, construction and/or horticulture
Degree in landscape design/architecture, business, environmental science, etc.
