As part of its efforts to engage the community with exhibition development, Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum is looking for proposals from community historians, researchers, and writers to develop narratives about local cultural traditions past and present for the upcoming exhibition, “Stories from the Shoreline.” We are especially interested in cultural traditions that are underrepresented or undocumented, and in gathering photos, oral histories and objects to tell these stories. This is a contractual consultant position with a project stipend based upon the agreed-upon deliverables. Please see the request for proposals linked here: Community Narrator – Stories from the Shoreline
Responses will be accepted on an ongoing basis, with priority given to well-developed proposals received by April 30, 2024.
