Come visit the 467-acre, preserved Wye Farm near Wye Mills, and enjoy a guided walking tour of 33 acres of wildflowers, pollinators, and successional grasslands so important for breeding birds including quail.
Wildlife artist Jonathan Shaw will lead you on an easy walk on well-manicured grass trails, sharing his knowledge of the abundant native wildflowers and pollinators planted three years ago. Birds, butterflies, and bees abound in this wonderful new habitat. This tour will demonstrate how farm land can host a variety of land use for beneficial for crops, habitat, and river-friendly practices. Light refreshments will be served after the tour in Jonathan’s infamous art barn.
