Partners of the Chesapeake Oyster Alliance (COA) invite you to attend the 2024 Chesapeake Oyster Science Symposium, an exploration of emerging science, cutting-edge innovation, and collaboration in the fields of oyster restoration, aquaculture, and research.

The Symposium will be broadcast live over Zoom on Thursday, October 3rd from 10:30 am – 4:00 pm EST. Registration is free for all virtual attendees, with a suggested donation to support COA’s work!

We welcome all oyster practitioners, including students, non-profit and governmental staff, restoration professionals, oyster growers, watermen, business owners and the many others invested in the recovery of the Chesapeake Bay oyster.

Participants will hear from an all-star lineup of oyster experts, academic faculty, and industry practitioners across multiple panel discussions with succinct presentations and ample Q&A around each topic. The Symposium will also host a round of “lightning talks” by young scientists and early career professionals (attendees may self-select to present when they register).

While the Symposium will be focused on emerging science and innovative approaches to advance the oyster population of Chesapeake Bay, we welcome attendees from all locations (e.g., the East, Gulf, and West Coasts, and international audiences).

We hope that you’ll join us and help us spread the word by sharing this announcement with your colleagues and fellow oyster enthusiasts!  Register today at https://events.cbf.org/coss2024.
