Howard EcoWorks is seeking volunteers during spring break for cleans ups and forest management throughout Howard County!Take this chance to engage in public service and help communities thrive!

Alternative Spring Break is an annual volunteer event hosted by Howard EcoWorks. It runs during Howard County Public School System’s scheduled Spring Break, and offers a chance for students and adults to engage in public service.

Activities range from trash and debris clean up, invasive vine and plant removal, and forest management. Locations are areas that Howard EcoWorks has partnered with and identified a critical need for clean up. This is a great opportunity to gain volunteer hours, experience with environmental stewardship, and help your local community.

  • Dates: During HCPSS Spring Break from 4/14/25- 4/18/25
  • Activities are not recommended for children under the age of 8. All children under 16 must be accompanied by their adult.
