Hi. I’m Susan Johnson and serve on the Board of the Alliance for the Chesapeake Bay. I’m also one of a three member Capstone Project Team from the Anne Arundel County Watersheds Steward Academy (WSA) – Class 16, assigned to remove invasive plants from in front of Holly Pavilion at Quiet Waters Park in Annapolis.
We are looking to collaborate with The Alliance’s Project Clean Stream network and are seeking about six volunteers to help with invasives removal on July 22nd between 8 am and noon. Rain date July 23rd 8 am to noon.
Make sure you dress to reduce skin exposure and contamination from any nasty plants like nettles and potentially poison ivy. Closed toed shoes required. Hats, sunscreen, bug spray also advised. Feel free to bring your favorite weed removing tool in addition to your reusable water jug.
Make sure you let the park gate house know that you are coming to support WSA and the clean up project at Holly Pavilion.
