We completed Phase 1 – Invasives Removal at Quiet Waters Park – Holly Pavilion on July 22nd and removed over 1000 square feet of invasives. Now the fun part.
Please join us for Phase 2 – Native Plant, Shrub, Tree Plantings in front of Holly Pavilion at Quiet Waters Park from 8am-Noon on Saturday October 19th (inclement weather date Sunday October 20th). We intend to install over 200 native beauties across a 2000 square foot garden so we need all the help we can get!
Suggested dress: long sleeves and pants, closed toed shoes, a hat, sunscreen, bug spray. Gloves will be provided by The Alliance for the Chesapeake Bay. Bring a reuseable water bottle. Feel free to bring your favorite towel, shovel, or rake!
This project is a capstone project for class 16 of the Anne Arundel County Watershed Stewards Academy (WSA).
