Join the Alliance for the Chesapeake Bay as we kick off Project Clean Stream’s Fall season in PA! This season we are hosting a clean up in the City of York along the Codorus Creek and partnering with the Watershed Alliance of York and the Lower Susquehanna Riverkeeper Association. In addition to making the city a better place, we will also be voting on and giving prizes for the weirdest trash found!

Folks should wear clothing that can get wet and dirty. The majority of this clean up event will involve wading into the creek in approximate 3ft deep water. Some hip waders will be available to borrow. Volunteers are also welcome to bring their own equipment or wet wade (wade in regular clothing). Close-toed shoes with good soles are also recommended.

Please prepare to be outside, including wearing sunscreen, a hat, sunglasses, and bringing a reusable water bottle. The Alliance will provide gloves, trash bags, water, and snacks. The event runs from 9-11am.

If you have any questions, please contact Cathleen Anthony at canthony@allianceforthebay.org.
