We will be cleaning up Rock Creek starting at the intersection of Knowles avenue and Beach drive. Feel free to join us in cleaning both the stream and along the trail/roadway as well! This section that we will cover has been popular over the past few months as it is closed to automotive traffic on the weekends. The lack of traffic should certainly make it easier to cover ground while stying socially distant. The section of stream we will go over is just over 2.5 miles, feel free to wear waders if you would like, however much of the stream is accessible by the banks and that is where most of the trash is so waders are not a necessity. Gloves and trash bags will be supplied.
Parking can be found just north of the intersection of Beach drive and Knowles avenue just off of the road.
