Visitors of all ages are invited to join experienced birders for a morning of bird watching and counting on a center-wide winter bird survey and participate in the nationwide Great Backyard Bird Count! You don’t have to be an expert! All levels of birding expertise are welcome as guides will lead visitors to and a family-friendly bird walk is scheduled, complete with a scavenger hunt for little ones.
All visitors are invited to wrap up the morning’s activities with hot chocolate, coffee or tea at the Center office and utilize your creative skills to build and take home a backyard bird feeder. Continue the fun of bird watching at home throughout Great Backyard Bird Count weekend, which runs through Monday February 18.
