Waterkeepers Chesapeake invites you to our 2nd annual In Defense of Water fundraiser. We’ll be gathering the evening of October 4, 2018, 6:30 – 9:00pm at the Audubon Naturalist Society’s Woodend Sanctuary in Chevy Chase, Maryland for an evening of celebrating our clean water successes and raising funds for and awareness of our work to make our waters drinkable, swimmable and fishable for all. Sponsors and guests will enjoy fresh, local food from La Prima Catering and beer from Sweetwater Brewing, mingle with Waterkeepers, groove to the Wendy Steve Jazz Band and bid on exciting silent auction items.
This year, we will honor Nick DiPasquale, former Director of the Chesapeake Bay Program, for his 6 1/2 years dedicated to restoring the Chesapeake Bay and all of its tributaries.
