Please join the National Aquarium as we welcome Bill Band for his lecture, Sharks: Predators in Peril. Bill’s adventures as a maritime pilot, scuba diver and underwater photographer have fed his lifelong fascination with sharks. These majestic top predators are essential to the natural order of marine ecosystems, but now face their most severe threat from overfishing. Restoring shark populations is key to overall ocean health, and Bill is a passionate advocate for all shark species and for ocean conservation.
Tickets are available for purchase ($15) at www.aqua.org/lecture. Doors open at 6:30 pm for a light reception. Lecture will begin at 7 pm. *After-hours events do not include access to exhibits.
