Monday, 10/30/2023: Riparian Buffer Month Maryland Field Day (Jacksonville, Maryland)

Did you know that October is #RiparianBufferMonth?!

Join us on Monday, October 30^th from 2pm – 4pm for a field day to celebrate riparian buffers in Maryland. This year the Chesapeake Conservation Landscaping Council  (CCLC) is excited to partner with the Gunpowder Valley Conservancy to host a field day that involves visiting a riparian buffer project that the GVC coordinated in the Gunpowder Watershed in Baltimore & Harford counties.

The GVC has been doing wonderful riparian buffer projects in this watershed since its founding in 1989, and has preserved over 2,000 acres of land and planted over 34,000 trees. Get out of your office and see first-hand the results &  benefits of a very successful riparian buffer project!
