Learn how Native Americans used the plants they lived with, for medicinal, culinary and other purposes. Native American herbalist and environmental educator Chris Anderson will begin with an overview in the library, then we’ll identify relevant plants in Blandy’s gardens, discussing how those can be used today. We’ll return to the library to enjoy traditional herbal teas brewed from local plants.
This event is a collaboration between conservation organization Sustainability Matters and the Virginia State Arboretum (Blandy). Cost is $15 SM/FOSA members; $20 others. Register here.
