The Natural History Society of Maryland invites you to join Charles and Linda Davis for an in-depth study of selected mosses.
If mosses intrigue you when you hike but you wonder exactly what you are seeing, this is your chance to figure it out in a fun environment. On the last Saturday of each month, we take a closer look at a moss or two and work together to identify them. Charles and Linda will introduce you to the vocabulary and work through moss keys together with you. A walk down your street will never be the same!
Charles Davis is a professional field ecologist who specializes in rare plant inventories. He and his wife, Linda Davis have inventoried mosses and liverworts for the National Park Service at Great Falls Park, Virginia, and at Piscataway Park and Fort Washington Park in Maryland.
COST: $10 per person
