Guided Hike at The Chesapeake Bay Environmental Center
Nature Journaling the Winter Salt Marsh
Saturday, January 27th 1:00pm
Globally rare salt marsh habitats are special places to birds and other wildlife, and are indispensable to humans, as well. Let’s invite the sights, sounds, smells, and textures of CBEC’s spectacular salt marsh into our curious minds, as we record our experiences of this unique habitat, throughout the seasons, in our personal nature journals. The hike distance is approximately 3/4 mile and terrain is hard packed trail, boardwalk, and sandy beach. Participants are encouraged to dress for weather and bring along a water bottle, small snack, journal with pencil, and binoculars. Duration is approximately 2 hours. Trips are subject to cancellation due to weather or low enrollment. Check-in and hike begin at the Visitor Center.
