There’s still plenty of time to register for the Maryland Water Monitoring Council’s 25th annual conference at the Maritime Conference Center in North Linthicum, Maryland on Friday, December 6, 2019. Registration will begin at 7:30 AM and the conference will adjourn at 4:30 PM. The conference will include a plenary session, several concurrent breakout sessions, posters, exhibitor tables, plenty of snacks, and, of course, the famous Maritime Center’s all-you-can-eat buffet lunch. You’ll also have plenty of time to network and catch up with old friends and colleagues during breaks and at the post-meeting social at Checkerspot Brewing in Baltimore.
This year’s theme is The 25th Annual MWMC Conference – Where We’ve Been, Where We’re Going. Concurrent sessions will include Climate Resiliency, Invasive Species, Remote Sensing and the Bay, Stream Restoration Monitoring, Chesapeake Bay Submerged Aquatic Vegetation, Fish Disease, Working with Big Data, Harmful Algal Blooms, Citizen Monitoring, and more!
The morning plenary session will feature presentations by Maryland Department of the Environment Secretary Ben Grumbles and former Chesapeake Bay Program Director Nick DiPasquale. Also included are a student-professional networking session and student poster session. So come join your friends and colleagues in celebrating a quarter century of the MWMC!
Early registration ends November 18. Click HERE for a draft agenda.
