Experience Learning’s Spruce Knob Mountain Center provides an unforgettable setting for exceptional learning.The Community Action in the Classroom project,  is a collaboration between Experience Learning’s AWSM program and Earth Force. This professional development opportunity is for formal and informal educators who want to integrate civic and environmental action into their classroom.

ENJOY collaborating with educators from around the region, delicious meals, fun outdoor adventures, and a unique venue

Participants will learn Earth Force’s Community Action and Problem Solving Process, which combines the best of civic engagement, standards-based curriculum, and STEM. Youth work together through educator facilitation to design and implement a project to explore root causes and address a policy or practice related to an issue that they identify in their community.
