Roger Girke is one funky blues-playing, road-tested guitarist, singer and writer whose career has spanned over 4,000 live shows, concerts and festivals and numerous recording sessions and releases.

Roger started out performing in the eastern PA/NJ area, eventually joining the legendary Philadelphia-area roots-rock band Pickins, followed by tours and recording with Sharks, Robert Hazard, and many others. Since the 90s, Roger has released 5 CDs with his band, and is a regular at blues festivals, clubs and concerts throughout the Mid-Atlantic region. In that time, he has also recorded and performed with L.A.-based bluesman Gary Allegretto, Sam Cockrell of Chicago, Jimmy Pritchard, and many others. His band, The Roger Girke Band was a top 10 finalist in the 2009 International Blues Challenge.

Now, Roger will be coming to Havre de Grace to perform his eclectic mix of original songs… A great way to spend a Thursday night! The concert takes place in our comfortable, air-conditioned main gallery. Admission is $15 per person. No reservations necessary. Seating will be on a first-come, first-serve basis, and drinks will be sold on the premises.
