Birds of a feather flock together! Become a citizen scientist by taking part in the global Great Backyard Bird Count at the Environmental Center. Delve into bird flight patterns, listen to their calls and songs, and learn about key color markings to identify bird species. Using binoculars, we will birdwatch from the upper deck of the Havre de Grace Maritime Museum and the data we collect will be submitted to the global Great Backyard Bird Count. We will have some fun by making paper airplanes to see who flies the farthest. This event will occur rain or shine as we have indoor viewing opportunities.
Pre-registration is required – classes fill up quickly. This event is open to all ages and families are encouraged to attend together. Parents must accompany children. Free with price of admission to the Maritime Museum.
Event Address: 100 Lafayette Street, Havre de Grace, MD
