Just in time for fall migration season, the Environmental Center at Havre de Grace Maritime Museum presents this fun and informative class to get kids learning about nature. Kids will learn what makes birds different from other animals, and gain insight on differences among birds. They will investigate how to use both their sight and hearing to identify common birds of the Chesapeake Bay. Participants will leave this class as competent and curious birders. Though most of the class is planned for outdoors (bring your walking shoes), it will be held rain or shine moving into the Environmental Center in the event of rain. This learning experience will be best received by children 5 – 10 years of age. Parents must accompany children. The class is FREE with admission to the Museum of $5 per child, and adults accompanying children are free. No adults will be admitted to the class without children.
