Recently, Howard EcoWorks acquired a new property in Glenwood, MD – Holly Hills (Learn More Here). We’re asking for volunteers to help us with sprucing up the property. Activities involved:
-Clean up the driveway of weeds and clear leaves/twigs/branches
-Pruning
-Invasive plant removal
-Clear patio area of weeds and grasses
-Mow / weed whack some areas around the house
These activities are open to children ages 8 and up. Children must be supervised by their adult.
Howard EcoWorks will provide:
-Project oversight and instructions
-Tools and tool training
-Work gloves (please bring your own though if you have them)
-Snacks
-A gift of a native seed packet!
We recommend that volunteers bring:
-Appropriate clothing for the weather and the outdoors
-Work gloves if you have them
-Closed-toed shoes appropriate for the outdoors. Boots are ideal as some areas may be wet and muddy
-Your own water and bottle
