Native, Local, For Biodiversity Plant Sale & Lecture

Celebrate summer blooms at Maryland Meadwork’s native container garden (designed by Chesapeake Natives Volunteers) and be the first to see our new sign! Barry Stahl, a Mount Rainier resident, Chesapeake Natives’ board chair and co-director of the Prince George’s Audubon Society’s Wildlife Habitat Program, will talk about how essential native plants are to biodiversity and our best natural defense against climate change.
– Native plants and mead for sale!
– Snacks and treats will be served.
– Free event with indoor and outdoor seating.
Open House Sale at Chesapeake Natives Nursery
Date: Sunday, June 30th
Time: 10 AM – 3 PM
Location: Chesapeake Natives Nursery, Rosaryville State Park, 9640 Rosaryville Road Upper Marlboro, MD 20772 (*Please note, the entrance to the nursery is at 9640 Rosaryville Road. You cannot reach the nursery through the Rosaryville State Park entrance on 301.)
Explore our nursery and take home some beautiful local ecotype native species (LENS) grown from seeds gathered in the Chesapeake Bay watershed. Our volunteers will be there to help you find the perfect plants for your space.
