Scenic Rivers is celebrating 35 years of protecting land in Anne Arundel County this year. And, we’re throwing an anniversary party to honor the landowners, partners, and friends who’ve been a part of the journey so far!
Since 1989, we’ve protected the special forests, farms, wetlands, and other irreplaceable natural spaces that sustain our community.
We’ve conserved over 3,700 acres across the county with so many incredible gems among them:
- Bacon Ridge Natural Area,
- Contee Farm on the SERC campus,
- Swan Creek Wetlands,
- Willow Oak Farm,
- Hidden View Farm,
- The Crownsville Hospital Memorial Park Forest,
- Bay Ridge Community Forest, and
- Philip Merrill Environmental Center campus.
And, that’s just to name a few!
We’re looking forward to a beautiful fall evening on the tented deck at the Philip
Merrill Environmental Center where we can look out on the Chesapeake Bay from the grounds of a Scenic Rivers conservation easement.
We’ll have festive drinks, live soul & blues guitar from Kevin Koa, raffles and silent auction with exciting items to bid on in support of Scenic Rivers, tasty food, lots of friends, and probably a toast—or two! See you then!
