Join Howard EcoWorks in gathering and growing native seeds from our local landscape! Learn how you can help restore native plants in our community.
Explore how to process native seeds to prepare them for planting with our Natural Resource Specialist, Zsuzsanna Cooke!
In this workshop, we will process harvested native seeds and prepare them for them for propagation. Participants will volunteer for the processing exercise while learning about native seeds and their benefits.
We have created an initiative to engage and educate the community to participate in the collecting and propagation of native seeds from local ecotype plants. We want to empower others with environmental stewardship by promoting biodiversity and building the confidence to work with native plants. This event is free and open to the public, please rsvp to join!
About Howard EcoWorks: We are an environmental nonprofit serving the Baltimore region. We engage and educate the community about environmental sustainability and restoration, while creating pathways to green jobs through our workforce development programs.
We also design, install, and maintain attractive and resilient landscapes with plants and trees native to the local environment to enhance habitat, benefit pollinators, and local wildlife.
