Arterra is looking for a motivated assistant landscape designer to help design and manage the construction of projects including rain gardens, bayscaping and hardscaping at residential properties throughout the DC metro area.
This position requires a motivated candidate with strong communication and interpersonal skills, impeccable attention to detail, and interest in plants/landscape design/entrepreneurship.
Sense of humor and intellectual curiosity are key to success in this role. A candidate who is flexible, creative, thinks strategically and is highly collaborative will thrive in this position. The assistant will work closely with other team members, partners, vendors and clients.

Job Responsibilities
Assist landscape designer with landscape design of rain gardens, bayscaping, hardscaping, stormwater systems
Calculate plan take-offs, prepare cost estimates, and develop Budget Cost Analysis for various projects
Source high quality materials including trees, shrubs, perennial plants and stone from multiple vendors
Communicate with clients during design and installation process
Manage production schedule for projects
Coordinate with foreman of in house crew and subcontractors
Site layout for installation crews
Create social media postings
Requirements
2 or more years of Experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Attention to detail, sense of humor and positive energy
Reliable transportation, clean driving record
Intellectual curiosity and eagerness to learn
