The Horn Point Laboratory is seeking a Contract and Grant Associate to provide support for Grants, and Contract post-award management. The ideal candidate will possess account budgeting, administration, and expense monitoring knowledge, as well as have experience with implementing and understanding Contract and Grant policies and procedures. This person should have the ability to review the budget and administrative details of an account and use award, agency, or institution guidelines to analyze the account and identify current or potential account management problems. This person will be able to communicate with staff, faculty, and institution administration efficiently to explain any issues, and implement corrective action. Ideally, this candidate will have the ability to perform complex mathematical computations. Attention to detail and the ability to work with others is essential to this position.
To qualify for this position, the candidate will possess either a High School Diploma or GED and a minimum of 4 years related experience with contract and grant management or related financial management, as well as experience with financial accounting systems and/or computer applications.
