We are looking for enthusiastic individuals who care about the environment and are eager to learn and grow as environmental educators. The Environmental Literacy Assistants will assist Environmental Literacy and Outdoor Education staff in the needs of the outdoor education programs. There is a position open on the  4th grade program teams. Work involves teaching lessons during field experiences which may include taking water quality data in local streams and rivers, canoeing on the Severn River, and managing our aquatic tanks. This includes preparation of materials, outdoor instruction, and participating in staff development activities. The Environmental Literacy Assistant position is a transitional position for those looking to work in the education and environmental fields. This is a temporary, 12 month position from January 2025- January 2026.
