Forever Maryland, a statewide 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, is seeking a “2024-25 Education and Policy Climate & Conservation Corps Member.” Though flexible with the strengths and desires of the Chesapeake Conservation and Climate Corps Member, primary duties would include: 1.) helping lead the planning and development of the two-day 31st Annual Maryland Land Conservation Conference; 2.) Learning the state and local legislative process as it relates to climate and conservation policy; 3.) helping develop the 2025 Maryland Conservation Webinar and Workshop Series; and 4.) Learning (not leading) grant writing, communications, and other critical skills as desired by the Chesapeake Conservation Corps Member.
The Corps member would work directly with Forever Maryland’s Executive Director and the organization’s Board Chair. Forever Maryland is a fully digital organization that works directly with the state’s three dozen local land trusts and conservation organizations.
Forever Maryland is flexible with the office location of the Corps member at a partnering local land trust office, but ideally seek a Corps member that is located on Maryland’s Eastern Shore or within the greater Annapolis area.
