Part Time Native Plant Nursery Assistant
Lauren’s Garden Service is looking for a part time nursery assistant to run our Saturday nursery sales and keep plants watered during the week. We are looking for someone with knowledge of Maryland Native Plants and strong people skills.
Pay:
$12-$15/hr depending on experience
Hours:
14 hours a week from September-October
Monday to Thursday from 3-5pm (these hours are flexible)
Saturdays from 9:30-3:30 on Sept 21st, Sept 28th, Oct 5th, Oct 12th, Oct 19th, and Oct 26th
Main Duties:
Working the Sat fall sales at the nursery
Watering nursery plant, client hold section plants and containers and gardens on property
Moving and organizing plants
Additional Duties:
Takes thorough and accurate plant inventories and updates them on website and social media
Help with merchandising, promotion of nursery stock, pots, containers gardens and other items for sale
Organize the nursery area and client hold section
Weed pots, fix signage, arrange plants
Help customers visiting the nursery and moving purchases to their car
Keeping track of sales through paperwork and inventory
Putting signs out for Saturday sales at nursery
Qualifications:
Must be able to lift 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
Candidates must have their own reliable transportation.
Must be on time for work and detail oriented, listen to instructions and behave professionally.
